What is a solar eclipse?
A solar eclipse happens when the moon passes between the sun and the Earth, throwing a partial or total shadow over the planet. Total eclipses are rare because they necessitate a tighter alignment of the sun and moon’s cores. This natural event occurs every six months during the eclipse season due to axial parallelism in its orbit.
